Dream on my world I live on my world Going out my head, down to somewhere Going on a dance hall tune In a pressure today I blew a bad man away today Had a gun, had to be done I blew a man away
Brother, sister too Do what you must do Don't trust people you meet They might promise you That the river ain't deep
Dream on the street People passing through me, yes, they do Want mine back. I want my heart mend? I'm gonna bring it all back
Brother, sister too Do what you must do Don't trust people you meet They might promise you That the river ain't deep Brother, sister too Do what you must do Don't trust people you meet yeah They might promise you That the river ain't deep

They don’t know they have expectations, but I show them by counterexample what their expectations were.
Just as resourceful as his sister, and equally shrewd. The pair of them have a way with words and a way of running a business in the middle of nowhere, but they were critical in establishing civilization on Ensō in the first place, so that counts for something. Taako was one of the first people Tim thought to turn to when approaching others for help in setting up Denny; while he isn't one for physical labor, Taako's abilities with regards to transmutation are potentially invaluable.
For all his posturing, it's clear that he has a soft spot, given his joint care of Ren with his twin. He's astute, too - the first and only person to, rightly, question Tim's motives in constructing Denny in the first place. And, naturally, Tim's not about to go messing with anyone that Taako might consider his people. Given his capacity for magic, he's willing to wager that the carefree facade masks someone who's not ideal to have an enemy.
